Diabetes Control: If your blood sugar levels are high, then you need to adopt healthy food habits and lifestyle along with medicine. With a healthy lifestyle changes you can keep many diseases at bay.

Diabetes Control: Diabetes is a disease that can be controlled but cannot be completely cured. You can also prevent diabetes by adopting healthy food and lifestyle. But it may become difficult to follow the routine with the busy schedules. This may lead to an increase in the blood sugar level. If you do not control the blood sugar level, then it starts affecting the body.

The eyes, liver, heart, and kidneys start getting affected when the blood sugar level increases. Therefore you must keep your blood sugar level under control. We give you tips by which you can easily control your blood sugar level by making some changes in your food and lifestyle habits. 

1. Fix your diet - If you take care of your diet, then it can help you control your blood sugar level to a great extent. Consume food that is low in sugar. Include fruits and vegetables in the food. Eat every 2 to 3 hours a day to maintain metabolism. Avoid eating white foods like rice, potatoes, and noodles. 

2. Exercise daily - Keep your weight in check to control your blood sugar level. Exercise daily to stay fit. Exercising burns the extra calories in the body. Note your sugar levels while you exercise. 

3. Take medicines on time - Take your medication at the same time every day. Follow a proper medicine routine daily as timely consumption of medication prevents health conditions from worsening. Get up on time in the morning and have a healthy breakfast. Eat meals on time. Take the medicine at the right time as prescribed by the doctor. This will keep your blood sugar level under control. 

4. Keep checking blood sugar levels - If your blood sugar levels are high, monitor them regularly. Bring a sugar testing machine at home and check the sugar level before and after eating food. This will help you in maintaining your blood sugar level.  

5. Keep weight under control - A diabetic patient should keep his weight under control. Obesity increases health problems. Obesity increases the cholesterol levels in the body. High levels of cholesterol can increase the risk of heart diseases.
