PlayStation Gamers Has Surprise Free Gift From Astro Bot: Check It Out

Astro Bot developer Team Asobi has a full schedule of new levels planned, offering Astro Bot fans a fresh challenge each week. Next up is “Spring-loaded Run,” arriving on October 31.

Astro Bot fans are in for a treat as Team Asobi has released another high-energy speedrun level for the game, adding to the collection of free downloadable content (DLC). The developer, known for crafting Astro Bot’s exhilarating platform challenges, recently launched "Let it Slide," a wintery, ice-themed level that tests players' timing and platforming skills.

New Astro Bot Speedrun Level

Following last week's release of "Building Speed" — a level featuring the game’s bulldog companion, Barkster — "Let it Slide" takes players into an entirely different landscape. Here, players must place additional ice platforms to bridge gaps, requiring careful timing and fast reflexes.

Though the level has only been available for a short time, skilled players have already posted impressive speedrun times, often bypassing significant portions of the level with perfectly executed jumps and hovers. As the Astro Bot community dives into the latest challenge, excitement is building around just how low completion times can go as players master the frosty new terrain.

More Astro Bot Content Planned

Team Asobi has a full schedule of new levels planned, offering Astro Bot fans a fresh challenge each week. Next up is “Spring-loaded Run,” arriving on October 31. This level promises a new set of obstacles, offering an exciting alternative to Halloween festivities. Following that, “Helium Heights” is set to release on November 7, with hints that it may incorporate the game’s popular balloon or inflation mechanics. And for those who crave a challenge, “Rising Heat” will land on November 14, potentially adding an intense, fiery twist to the Astro Bot universe.

Nicolas Doucet, Astro Bot’s director, recently expressed gratitude to the fanbase on the PlayStation blog, acknowledging their support and hinting that these new levels may not be the last surprises players can expect.

With Team Asobi keeping its plans under wraps, fans are speculating on what could be next for Astro Bot. Some hope for the return of fan-favourite mechanics like the shrinking mouse, while others are simply eager to see what creative twists the team will introduce.
