Indus, The Upcoming Homegrown Battle Royale, Announces 4v4 Team Deathmatch Mode: Here's What We Know So Far

Indus' TDM aims to appeal to both casual and competitive gamers, offering quick, team-based challenges and a warm-up option before battle royale matches.

Indus release date (for all users) may still be under wraps, but Pune-based developer SuperGaming isn't holding back from announcing future updates one after another. Now, the made-in-India battle royale is set to get a 4v4 Team Deathmatch (TDM) mode. This exciting new feature comes as the game surpasses 11 million pre-registrations on the Google Play Store for Android, as claimed by SuperGaming.

Indus 4v4 Team Deathmatch: What's New

The TDM mode features 4v4 battles on a new map named Saaplok. Diverging from the traditional battle royale format, this mode offers an intense, fast-paced experience where players respawn upon elimination, maintaining continuous action. Victory is awarded to the first team to reach 50 kills.

Enhancements in TDM include refined weapon sway, crosshair centring, and muzzle effects for a more immersive gameplay experience. Achievements and kill confirmations have been visually upgraded, and a new UI widget called "ferrofluids" has been introduced, providing detailed feedback on weapon fire and damage.

Roby John, CEO and Co-Founder of SuperGaming, expressed his excitement: "With TDM, players can expect a pulse-pounding experience that combines fast-paced action with strategic gameplay. The support from our community has fueled our development efforts, and we are confident that our players will embrace TDM and the new dimension that it brings to the game."

Players can also anticipate a complete audio revamp, featuring dynamic voice lines, interior reverb during combat, and a new endgame soundtrack. Weapon handling has been improved, showing greater responsiveness during actions like sliding and firing.

To add to the combat, four pre-made weapon load-outs will be available, catering to different playstyles and ensuring balanced gameplay. The load-outs include:

  • A27 Locust (Assault Rifle) & Judgement (Handgun)
  • Devastator (Light Machine Gun) & R4-FTR (Handgun)
  • V-Fury (Submachine Gun) & Kismet CS10 (Shotgun)
  • Tempest CFA (Submachine Gun) & Vigil SR-14 (Semi-Automatic Sniper Rifle)

TDM aims to appeal to both casual and competitive gamers, offering quick, team-based challenges and a warm-up option before battle royale matches. This addition is set to diversify the Indus universe and attract a broader gaming audience.

Indus Battle Royale is currently in closed beta. Gamers interested in experiencing the new mode can sign up at indusbeta.com to join the waitlist. Whitelisted users will receive a link to download and play the game.
