Cyberpunk 2077 finally lands on Mac with full DLC and Apple Silicon support. The Ultimate Edition releases July 17 via the Mac App Store, optimised for M1, M2, and M3 devices.

Apple Silicon Mac users are in for a treat with Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition joining the gaming library on July 17. CD Projekt Red will release it via the Mac App Store, as well as Steam, GOG.com, and the Epic Games Store. This version bundles the base game, the Phantom Liberty expansion, and all updates to date, which is now natively optimised for Macs powered by M1 through M4 chips.

Designed specifically for Apple’s chips, the game boasts tailored graphics settings under a new “For This Mac” preset system. It takes full advantage of Metal 3’s Tile‑Based Deferred Rendering and MetalFX upscaling, while also supporting AMD FSR frame generation. If you’ve got AirPods, Spatial Audio with head tracking is built in, and compatibility extends to game controllers, Magic Mouse and trackpad. Cross‑progression means you can switch between platforms without losing your save.

Expect Metal 4 Enhancements Later

A post‑launch update will integrate Metal 4 features unveiled at WWDC 2025. These include MetalFX Frame Interpolation, generating intermediate frames to hit smoother frame rates; and MetalFX Denoising for real-time path tracing.

CD Projekt Red says these features could push gameplay up to 120fps on Ultra settings for top‑end Macs.
