BGMI 3.9 Update Now Available: New Modes, Hoverboards, More. How To Access

BGMI’s 3.9 update just dropped, and it’s packed with surprises — from hoverboards to zombie uprisings. Wondering what’s new? We’ve got all the key highlights broken down right here.

Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) version 3.9 has launched with a range of exciting content in tow. From the return of Transformers-themed mechanics to new vehicles, maps and a revamped zombie event; here’s what players need to know. The standout feature of this update is undoubtedly the Transformers crossover. Available from July 8 to September 2, players can summon either Optimus Prime or Megatron in match‑play. Armed with unique abilities, including Axe Slash and Burst Bar, the two iconic characters can shift between robot and vehicle forms, altering combat dynamics.

Hoverboards, Mega Trucks And A Cyberpunk Zone

Players now have access to a selection of new mobility options. The Cosmic Hoverboard offers fast-paced travel with double jumps and dashes. Heavier transport is covered by the debut of two armoured vehicles, the Mega Truck and the Electromagnetic Tank; both are suitable for squad transport and siege tactics.

The Neon Outpost brings cyberpunk visuals and atmospheric combat to the battlefield, providing a fresh aesthetic and strategic environment for players to explore.

Zombie Uprising Invades Metro Royale

The Metro Royale mode has received its upgrade with the Zombie Uprising feature. Players can now face off against genetic‑code bosses and collect loot to build monsters of their own. Those who brave the challenge are rewarded with rare items, making this a potentially game-changing addition for those seeking PvE depth.

New Weapons, Maps And Editor Tools Enhance Gameplay

Also arriving with the 3.9 update is the ASM Abakan assault rifle, featuring three firing modes and chambered for 5.56 mm ammunition; a powerful addition for those who favour versatility. The new Shutdown map offers fresh tactical spaces for competitive play. Meanwhile, the world of custom content creation expands with the Skill Editor, item templates, and monetisation tools for creators. Profile services have also been enriched to include new vanity options and community hubs.

BGMI’s July 15 launch of version 3.9 marks a significant step forward in both player experience and creative capability. Whether it's classic battle royale, Transformers showdowns, or zombie-infested PvE challenges, this update delivers something for every kind of player, especially those who enjoy crafting unique modes and maps.
