Battlegrounds Mobile India Seeing Login Failure For Users, Krafton Says Working On Fix
BGMI users are seeing a "Nothing to see here" error message upon logging in, as per Krafton.
New Delhi: Battlegrounds Mobile India, popularly known as BGMI, on Monday reported an issue with user logins. Developer Krafton said it is currently working on a fix. The popular battle royale game is a rebranded version of PUBG Mobile, which was banned by the Indian government back in 2020 along with 117 other Chinese apps. In 2021, South Korean developer Krafton eventually relaunched the mobile game with several tweaks, under the branding of Battlegrounds Mobile India.
On May 9, Krafton announced on the official BGMI website that it has identified “some players are experiencing login failure.” According to the publisher, the issue started showing up starting May 7 at 10pm IST. The game would throw up an error message to users, saying “Nothing to see here," as per Krafton.
"We are currently trying to find the cause of the issue and will get back to you as soon as possible when fixed,” Krafton said. Apart from this, the company hasn’t offered any detail on the issue or an exact timeline of when the fix will be rolled out.
Krafton regularly conducts patches to ensure a smooth experience for BGMI players. Late last month, it fixed an issue where users were unable to let others view Popularity settings. Prior to that, another issue was fixed, where players were unable to gift the Silvanus’ Memory in-game item to friends.
To enable fair play on the platform, Krafton also bans accounts that are found cheating to gain an advantage over other players. Last week, a total of 50,733 BGMI accounts were banned.
