Jr NTR vs Hrithik Roshan: Who Charged More For War 2? Cast Fees Will Leave You Stunned

Jr NTR tops the pay chart in War 2, co-starring Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani in YRF’s ₹200 crore spy actioner directed by Ayan Mukerji.

The buzz around War 2 has reached a fever pitch, especially after insider reports revealed the eye-watering paychecks secured by the film’s leading stars. At the forefront of this financial frenzy is Telugu superstar Jr NTR, who is making his Bollywood debut with the highly anticipated action thriller. According to reports, the RRR actor has charged a whopping ₹60 crore for the project, making him the highest-paid cast member of War 2 and one of the most expensive actors in Indian cinema today.

The actor’s entry into the Yash Raj Films’ (YRF) expanding spy universe has created massive excitement, especially since he will be seen playing the primary antagonist, opposite Hrithik Roshan’s celebrated RAW agent, Kabir Dhaliwal.

Hrithik Roshan Returns, But Jr NTR Steals the Spotlight

Bollywood’s Greek God Hrithik Roshan, who headlined War (2019) with Tiger Shroff, reprises his role as Kabir in War 2. Despite his strong association with the franchise and continued dominance in the spy-action genre, Hrithik is reportedly earning ₹48 crore for this outing—₹12 crore less than Jr NTR.

Hrithik’s return is expected to bring in audiences in large numbers, but the inclusion of Jr NTR as a formidable on-screen rival adds a new layer of intrigue and star power.

Kiara Advani Joins The Spy Universe

Joining the high-stakes action is Kiara Advani, who plays the female lead in War 2. Known for her versatility and charm, Kiara has reportedly charged ₹15 crore for her role. The actress grabbed headlines recently for her fierce and glamorous look in the War 2 trailer, which sent fans into a frenzy online. Her presence is expected to bring emotional depth and fresh energy to the film’s narrative.

Ayan Mukerji Bags ₹32 Crore as Director

At the helm of this mega action venture is director Ayan Mukerji, known for films like Wake Up Sid, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, and Brahmastra. Despite having only a few films to his credit, Mukerji has carved a niche for himself as a visionary filmmaker. For War 2, he has reportedly taken home a remuneration of ₹32 crore.

Slated for release on August 14, War 2 is backed by a massive ₹200 crore budget. With its gripping trailer already generating excitement, the film is being positioned as a key installment in YRF’s spy universe, which includes hits like Tiger, Pathaan, and the upcoming female-led Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh.
