Vicky Kaushal Shares How He Reacted When Katrina Kaif Wanted To Buy A Bar 'Worth His Signing Amount'

During the trailer launch of ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’ , Vicky Kaushal was asked questions about his life, including his wife, Katrina Kaif.

New Delhi: The trailer of actor Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan’s film ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’ was released on Monday. During the trailer launch, the actor was asked questions about his life, including his wife, Katrina Kaif.

The actor was also asked if he is a miser in real life like his character in the film. The actor then said that though he is not a miser, he is still a middle-class boy at heart and then shared an incident where Katrina wanted to buy an expensive bar for their home, and Vicky said jokingly that it’s better if he himself stands with a tray to serve drinks than buy the expensive bar.

“We have a lot of discussions about furniture at home. Like for example, Madam (Katrina) wants to have a bar at home. She sent me the bar she is thinking to buy, I saw that and thought ye bohot mehenge hai, main he tray leke kahada ho jauga but ye nahi aayega (I would myself stand with a tray, but we can’t buy it because it is too expensive). This is worth my signing amount! So I said, no, this can’t happen,” he was quoted as saying by Indian Express.

Set in Indore, ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’ is a romantic comedy that follows the life of a married couple Kapil and Somya, played by Vicky and Saran, who is headed for a divorce.

Talking about the film, the actor said that the film, directed by Laxman Utekar, is a great entertainer that will bring families to the theatre.

The actor said he is looking forward to the premiere of the film, which marks his first theatrical release since 2019's ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike.’

"It's a theatrical release for both of us after a long time. We were discussing that our theatrical releases before this were pre-Covid. I was telling Sara the same thing while coming here. I was nervous that I hadn't forgotten how to do this. It's a great film to bring to the theatre because it's a true family film, something you'll enjoy watching with your entire family. This film reminded me about my family," Kaushal was quoted as saying by PTI.

The film will release on June 2.
