New Delhi: Varun Dhawan recently tested positive for COVID-19 while shooting for his upcoming movie ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’. Other actors of the movie including Neetu Kapoor, Maniesh Paul and the director Raj Mehta also tested positive for the virus. Anil Kapoor and Kiara Advani, who are also a part of the film, fortunately, tested negative for COVID-19. According to a report of PTI, both Varun and the director Raj Mehta has tested negative for the virus and is soon expected to resume the shoot of ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’. A few days earlier, Neetu Kapoor’s daughter Riddhima Sahni Kapoor also took to her Instagram and shared the news of her mother being tested negative for COVID-19. Riddhima wrote in the post, “Thank you for all your good wishes & prayers - My mother has tested Covid negative today @neetu54”

After testing positive for COVID-19, the ‘Coolie No 1’ actor took to his social media and confirmed the news of testing positive for COVID-19. He shared in a post, “So as I returned to work in the pandemic era I have contracted #covid_19 All precautions were taken by the production but still nothing is certain in life especially not covid-19. So please be extra careful I believe I could have been more careful. I see the get well soon messages and my spirits are high taking each day at a time thank u.”

‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ stars Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani as a reel-life couple. Other than Neetu Kapoor, the movie also stars Anil Kapoor, Prajkta Kohli and Maniesh Paul in pivotal roles.
