Haryana's Sumit Saini wins Star Plus' singing reality show 'The Voice' season 3.
Star Plus' popular singing reality show 'The Voice' season 3', hosted by Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya, came to an end last night (4th April) with Haryana's Sumit Saini declared as the show's winner. Beating other finalists Adnan Ahmad, Hargun Kaur and Simran Chaudhary, Sumit Saini walked away with the winner's trophy and the prize money of Rs 25 lakh. Whereas, Sumit's co-contestant Adnan Ahmad was crowned the first runner up. Take a look at his winning moment below (SWIPE LEFT):
Popular names from music industry -Adnan Sami, Armaan Malik, Harshdeep Kaur and Kanika Kapoor were seen as coaches whereas music maestro AR Rahman was seen as the super judge in 'The Voice'. But, veteran singer Asha Bhosle replaced him in the final episode as he was unwell.
Coming back to the show's winner Sumit Saini, he started singing at the age of 3 by performing in jagrans. He impressed the judges in audition round by singing 'Kinna sona tenu rab ne banaya' and got a spot in coach Harshdeep Kaur's team. Sumit was also the first contestant of 'The Voice' season 3 who got the compliment of 'Jai Ho performance' from His performance on “Kinna sona tenu rab ne banaya” during the auditions won him a coveted spot in coach Harshdeep Kaur’s team. Sumit was also the first contestant to get a ‘Jai Ho performance’ compliment from music maestro & super judge AR Rahman.
