‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ Fame Sumona Chakravarti Opens Up On Battling Endometriosis: ‘Lockdown Has Been Emotionally Hard For Me’

The ‘TKSS’ fame actress Sumona Chakravarti shared that she has been suffering from stage 4 endometriosis since 2011 and the lockdown has been hard for her emotionally given her condition. Read on to know full details.

Mumbai: Television actress Sumona Chakravarti, popular for her role of Bhuri in ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ opened up about suffering from stage 4 endometriosis. The actress shared a picture on her social media post her workout and penned down a long ‘personal’ note highlighting her struggle with the disease and how the lockdown affected her.

Sumona shared a picture on her Instagram and wrote, “Did a proper workout at home after ages....Some days i feel guilty, because boredom is privilege. I may be unemployed & yet am able to feed my family & myself. That is privilege. Sometimes i feel guilty. Specially when am feeling low due to pms’in. The mood swings play havoc emotionally.”

The ‘TKSS’ fame actress then shared that she has been suffering from stage 4 endometriosis since 2011 and the lockdown has been hard for her emotionally given her condition. Sumona continued, “I have been battling endometriosis since 2011. Been in stage IV for many years now. A good eating habit, exercise & most importantly no stress is key to my well being. The lockdown has been emotionally hard for me. Today i worked out. Felt good. Thought ill share my feelings for whoever is reading this to understand that all that glitters is not gold. We are all struggling with something or the other in our lives. We all have our own battles to fight.”

Sumona Chakravrati ended her note and wrote, “sharing such a personal note wasn’t easy at all. It was way out of my comfort zone. But if this post can bring a smile or inspire in any way to even a handful of souls, then i guess it was all worth it.”

Endometriosis is a disorder in which the tissue that normally lines the uterus starts growing outside of it. This leads to extreme pain and menstrual irregularities in the person suffering from it.

Meanwhile, speaking on the professional front, Sumona started her career as a child artist in Aamir Khan’s film ‘Mann’. She is currently seen playing the role of ‘Bhuri’ in ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’.
