'He Fought COVID-19 Like A King': Taarak Mehta's Bhavya Gandhi Shares First Post After Father's Death, Thanks Sonu Sood For Help

Bhavya Gandhi penned an emotional note to mourn his father's demise on social media. The 'Taarak Mehta' actor also thanked Bollywood star Sonu Sood for extending support to his family.

Mumbai: Popular TV actor Bhavya Gandhi, fondly known for playing the role of Tappu in Sony Sab’s ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, penned an emotional note on social media to mourn his father’s demise. Bhavya’s father Vinod Gandhi passed away on May 11 due to COVID-19 related complications. He thanked Bollywood actor Sonu Sood and others for extending help to his family amid the tough times.  

Bhavya revealed that his father was placed under doctor’s observation after he tested positive for COVID-19 on April 9. The actor said that his dad fought the virus like a ‘King’ till his last breath. He requested his followers to get vaccinated to keep the deadly virus at bay.

“My dad got COVID on 9th of April and was on proper medication and under doctors' observation since. He fought COVID with all power, he stood on the battlefield till his last breath. He fought COVID like a king,” the talented actor wrote. 

He expressed gratitude towards Sonu Sood, doctors, nurses and others for helping him. The 'Bau Na Vichar' star also thanked his well-wishers for their prayers and support. 

“Thank you Sonu Sood sir, Rakesh Kothari, Narendra Hirani, Pinakin Shah and Dharpesh Chhajed for making all the things available. Thank you to our family, extended family and my dearest friends who supported us in this hard time. Thank you for all of your blessings and prayers,” Bhavya added.  

“I know wherever you are Papa, you are happy. Thank you for teaching everything Papa. I love you. Until next time Papa,” he further said in his post.

Bhavya became a household name after playing the role of Tappu in ‘TMKOC’. He quit the show in 2017 in search for greener pastures. 

On the professional front, the 23-year-old actor was last seen in &TV's 'Shaadi Ke Siyape'. He has been missing from the small screen since the show ended.
