Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi's popular mother-daughter duo, Smriti Irani and Ritu Chaudhary, reunited after a long time.
Mumbai: Who can ever forget Ekta Kapoor's 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Thi'? The popular daily soap starring Smriti Irani and Umar Upadhyay ran for eight successful years on the small screen. Ritu Chaudhary, who essayed the role of Smriti Irani’s on-screen daughter Shobha, recently reunited with the BJP leader. Smriti and Ritu remembered their old days while meeting each other after a long time.
Ritu, who is currently seen in ‘Imlie’, dropped two photos with Smriti from their reunion on social media. She also posted a sweet note while sharing the snaps on her Instagram handle.
The ‘Nazar’ actress was all smiles while striking a pose with her on-screen mother. TV’s popular mother-daughter duo beamed with joy as they posed for a photo. Ritu’s daughter also featured in the pictures.
“Such a pleasure meeting up with you after so long @smritiiraniofficial. Remembering our old days and laughing together once more was just priceless! Love and Respect Always,” Ritu wrote.

Smriti had shared a throwback video to celebrate 21 years of 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' in July 2021. She wrote, "We had made a promise ‘Phir Milenge’, a promise we could not keep. 21 years ago began a journey which changed many a lives - brought joy to some, annoyed a few but impacted all those who saw it, who worked for it. Thank you for the memories."
'KSBKBT', which ended in 2008, was the first Hindi fiction show to cross the 1800-plus episode mark. Colors TV's 'Balika Vadhu' broke Kyunki's record in 2015.
While Ritu is currently busy with Star Plus' 'Imlie', Smriti is serving as the Union Minister of Women and Child Development.
