Kasautii Zindagii Kay: THIS former Bigg Boss contestant to play Anurag Basu’s brother-in-law

Ekta Kapoor’s 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2' is all set to hit the airwaves from September 10 on Star Plus. The romantic drama starring Erica Fernandes as Prerna will take the 8pm slot on the channel replacing the comedy show Har Shaakh Pe Ullu Baithaa Hai. The makers of the show are yet to reveal the name of the actor playing Anurag Basu in Kausatii reboot version. Names like Parth Samthaan and Abhimanyu Chaudhary are circulating in the media. The star cast of KZK 2 is expected to start shooting for the show soon. Grapevines were buzzing with the rumours that Sumona Chakravarti was approached to play the role of Anurag Basu’s sister Nivedita Basu in Kasautii 2. As per the latest buzz, Sahil Anand will play the role of her husband in the show. The actor entered Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 10 but was evicted from the show in two weeks. Sahil, who also participated in MTV Roadies 4, was part of Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra starrer ‘Student of the Year’. (Sahil Anand in Student of the Year) A report in IWMBuzz suggested that the ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ actor has been roped in to play the role of Anurag’s sister Nivedita’s husband Anupam Sengupta. The role was originally played by Manish Goel. The makers of the show have already brought on-board Kanupriya Pandit and Kali Prasad Mukherjee to play Prerna’s parents in Kasautii Zindagii Kay. Speculations are rife that Hina Khan would play Urvashi Dholakia’s Komolika in KZK2. Although, the ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Keh Lata Hai’ actress is tight-tipped about the project, she had dropped some hints that she is indeed playing the iconic role.
