Kasautii Zindagii Kay: ‘Dhadak’ actress Shubhaavi Choksey to play Anurag Basu’s mother in the show
Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ has become the talk of the town ever since the first promo was unveiled by the makers. The romantic drama will launch on Star Plus on September 10 and the countdown for the same has already started. The show will feature Erica Fernandes in the role of Prerna Sharma, originally played by Shweta Tiwari. Although; Ekta is yet to reveal who is playing Anurag Basu in KZK 2, grapevines have been buzzing with the news that the makers have finalised the actress playing his mother in the show. Interestingly, the actress was recently seen in Janhvi Kapoor & Ishaan Khatter’s ‘Dhadak’.
Guess who are we talking about?
Remember Rishika from ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii’? Shubhaavi Choksey played the role of a lawyer who fought for Parvati Agarwal. She also essayed the negative role of Meera in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.
A report in an entertainment portal suggested Shubhaavi would play the role of Anurag’s mom in Kasautii reboot version.

“Shubhaavi is all set to return to the Balaji family with yet another prized role. She will be seen playing the mother of Anurag, which will be a very powerful role,” a source told IWMBuzz.
The original role of Mohini Basu was played by Kannu Gill, who won several hearts with her performance.

The cast of Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 is getting bigger and better with each day. Former Bigg Boss contestant Sahil Anand has been roped in to play the role of Anurag’s brother-in-law.
It remains to be seen who will be the lead actor’s father in the show.
