Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2: 'Raees' actor Uday Tikekar to play Anurag Basu's father in the show
Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2’ has been making waves ever she released the first promo of the show. The romantic saga starring Erica Fernandes in the role of Prerna Sharma will go on-air from September 10 on Star Plus. The makers of the show are busy roping in talented actors to play crucial roles in KZK 2. Although, the TV Czerina is yet to reveal who is playing Anurag Basu in Kasautii 2, she has roped in a talented actor to play his father in the show. As per the latest buzz, Uday Tikekar is the latest addition to the star-studded cast of Kasautii Zindagii Kay.
A report in an entertainment portal suggested that the actor would play the role of Anurag Basu’s father in Kasautii. Tikekar was last seen on the small screen in Colors TV’s ‘Krishnadasi, where he essayed the role of Pradhyumna Vidyadhar Rao. The actor has also been part of several Bollywood films like ‘Raees’, ‘Barfi ‘ and ‘Golmaal Returns’.

Uday who will also be seen in the web-series City of Dreams will have a strong role in the much-awaited tale, the report in IWMBuzz said.

For the uninitiated, the original role of Moloy Basu was played by Deepak Qazir.

‘Dhadak’ actress Shubhaavi Choksey will essay the role of Uday’s on-screen wife Mohini while Sahil Anand will play Anurag Basu’s brother-in-law.
Talking about the others characters, Hina Khan is rumoured to be playing Komolika while Barun Sobti is said to be essaying the role of Mr. Rishabh Bajaj.
