CONGRATULATIONS! Javed Khan wins India's Got Talent 8

New Delhi: India’s Got Talent 8, which went hit the airwaves on October 20, aired its much-awaited grand finale on December 29 on Colors TV. After Indian Idol 10, fans were eagerly to know the winner of the talent hunt based show. In the end, it was Javed Khan who bagged the winner’s trophy and prize money of Rs 25 lakh. The magician, who originally hails from Rajasthan, had a tie with ‘Live 100 Experience Band’ in the final round as they both got equal scores from the judges. However, the votes from the viewers made the difference. Javed, who got more votes, won IGT 8, much to the joy of the fans. The other five contestants also included Rahul & Mukesh, Almas Khan and Crazzy Hoppers. The eighth season of IGT was judged by the trio of Malaika Arora, Kirron Kher and Karan Johar. Bharti Singh and Ritvik Dhanjani hosted the popular reality show that has been entertaining the viewers since 2009. Javed Khan, who was excited after his victory, said in a statement,“ Though I am a magician, I feel that a dream doesn’t become a reality with magic, but it takes a lot of courage, determination and hard work. I came on India’s Got Talent with a blank slate, with just a purpose to entertain the audience with my talent. But this entire journey has not only been rewarding but it has changed my life and the perception about me and my art forever. The stamp of a prestigious show like India’s Got Talent is the testimony to the fact that performing magic can also be a respectful skillset. I am excited for my journey ahead and  I would like to thank COLORS and Fremantle India for giving me this wonderful opportunity.”
