'Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji' actor Ankit Shah got married to his ladylove on June 30 amid the COVID-19 crisis.

New Delhi: TV actor Ankit Shah tied the knot with his fiancée Aashima Naira on June 30 amid the COVID-19 crisis. The couple got hitched in an Arya Samaj Mandir in the presence of their loved ones. They were supposed to exchange nuptial vows on June 11 in a grand wedding. The two lovebirds had to scrap the plans due to the Coronavirus outbreak in the country. Ankit Shah has now shared the first picture with his wife from their wedding on social media. The newly married couple can be seen beaming with joy in the adorable photo. Aashima looked elegant in a maroon lehenga while Ankit complimented her in a white and maroon sherwani. The couple twinned in matching outfits on their special day. “Love doesn’t make the world go round; love is what makes the ride worthwhile,” the caption for the post read. Check it out!

Ankit and Aashima took all the precautionary measures to ensure the safety of their guests. Children below the age of 10 and people above 55 years were not invited to the wedding. The actor shared a video from the marriage ceremony on his Instagram handle.

The two lovebirds exchanged rings last year on Independence Day in the presence of their family members. They met each other during Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations 2018. On the professional front, Ankit was last seen as Jasmin Bhasin’s best friend in Star Plus ‘Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji’. Th actor has worked in several shows like ‘Veera’, 'Shaurya Aur Suhani', 'Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil', Chandragupta Maurya' and ALT Balaji’s ‘Home’.
