Ankit Shah tied the knot with Aashima Nair in a low key ceremony on June 30.

New Delhi: It’s time to send congratulatory messages to TV actor Ankit Shah as he has tied the knot with his fiancée on June 30 in Mumbai. The ‘Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji’ actor has got hitched to his ladylove Aashima Naira in the presence of their loved ones. The bride looked beautiful in a maroon lehenga while the groom complimented her in white and maroon sherwani. The couple wore matching outfits and twinned in maroon on their special day. The couple was originally supposed to tie the knot on June 11 in a grand wedding. However, they scrapped their plans due to the COVID-19 crisis. Ankit and Aashima took nuptial vows in a simple ceremony in an Arya Samaj Mandir in the presence of their loved ones. Ankit Shah took to social media to share two videos from his wedding. Ankit, while talking to a leading daily, had said that he invited only selected people to his wedding. All precautionary measures were taken at the wedding to ensure the safety of the guests. Children below the age of 10 and elderly people above 55 years were not allowed to attend the ceremony due to the COVID-19 crisis. Ankit Shah and Aashima Nair's engagement ceremony took place Independence Day (August 15) 2019. The two lovebirds first met each other during Ganesh Chaturthi 2018 celebrations. On the work  front, Ankit was last seen as Jasmin Bhasin’s best friend in the show ‘Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji’. He has also featured in shows like ‘Veera’, 'Shaurya Aur Suhani', 'Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil', Chandragupta Maurya' and ALT Balaji’s ‘Home’. We extend our heartiest congratulations to the newly married couple. 'Sasural Simar Ka' actor Manish Raisinghan and 'Naagin 3' actress Sangeita Chauhaan also got married on June 30. The couple tied the knot in a Gurudwara in Mumbai.
