Devoleena Bhattacharjee Confirms Wedding Rumours, Ties The Knot With Gym Trainer Shahnawaz Sheikh

New Delhi: After much hearsay, actor Devoleena Bhattacharjee has finally revealed that she and her boyfriend Shahnawaz Sheikh have got hitched. The actor tied the knot in a private ceremony in Mumbai and intends to shortly host a reception to officially introduce her new husband to her fans.

Devoleena had shared a series of photos from her wedding celebrations, but she has now taken fans by surprise by revealing her husband. She also shared a post introducing Shahnawaz Sheikh on Instagram.

The couple officiated the relationship on Wednesday in Mumbai by having a court marriage, which was followed by a private gathering in Lonavala.

Devoleena and her partner wanted a low-key wedding, a source close to the star informed Hindustan Times. “They were planning to get hitched for a long time, and it was just getting delayed. They have been planning to take their relationship to the next level for almost two years now. And finally took the leap, and are very happy,” the insider further revealed.

"She will introduce her boyfriend to the world through a reception. It will mostly be held in the first week of January, after December 25,” the source told the publication.

Devoleena Bhattacharjee rose to recognition after her appearance in the soap opera 'Saath Nibhaaana Saathiya'. She has additionally featured in shows like 'Laal Ishq' and 'Sawaare Sabke Sapne Preeto'.
