After Rupali Ganguly, 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' Actress Kanchi Singh Tests COVID-19 Positive

'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' fame Kanchi Singh went into home quarantine after testing positive for COVID-19.

The number of COVID-19 cases has witnessed a surge in the past few weeks. India recorded 81,466 new Coronavirus cases on Thursday (April 1), taking the total to 1.23 crore. Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, while addressing a press conference, said that there is a possibility of lockdown in the wake of increasing number of positive cases.

Earlier in the day, we informed you that Rupali Ganguly has tested positive for the virus. The ‘Anupamaa’ actress went into self-quarantine after contracting the virus.

Another popular TV actress has been diagnosed with COVID-19. We are talking about Kanchi Singh, who is fondly known for playing the role of Gayatri in ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’.

Kanchi took to her Instagram story to share a health update. She said that she has isolated herself after testing positive for the virus. The actress is observing home quarantine and following all the necessary protocols. She requested her fans to step out of their home if not required.

“Unfortunately I have tested positive for Covid-19.I have isolated myself and am in home quarantine. I am following all the safety protocols. To all of you out there, take care, stay safe and truly don’t step out if you don’t have to! It’s time we come together by staying indoors and fight this virus! Love, Kanchi,” the ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ actress wrote.

On the professional front, Kanchi will soon make her Bollywood debut with an upcoming film. The ‘Aur Pyaar Hogya’ actress dated her ‘Yeh Rishta’ co-star Rohan Mehra for several years. The two small screen stars have reportedly parted ways.

Bollywood & TV Celebs Who Recently Tested COVID-19 Positive

The likes of Kartik Aaryan, Milind Soman, Manoj Bajpayee, Satish Kaushik have contracted the virus in recent times. While Ranbir Kapoor has recovered from COVID-19, his girlfriend Alia Bhatt has tested positive for the virus. She shared a post on social media to share the news with her fans. The ‘Kalank’ actress is currently under home quarantine.

Popular TV stars including Amar Upadhay, Aishwarya Sharma, Neil Bhatt, Priyal Mahajan have also tested positive for Coronavirus. Neil Bhatt has resumed shooting for 'Ghum Hain Kisikey Pyaar Meiin' after recovering.
