After 'Ishq Mein Marjawan', 'Udaan' to go OFF AIR
After Ishq Mein Marjawan, Colors channel has decided to axe another show. 'Udaan' will soon bid adieu to the viewers.
New Delhi: Colors TV is all set to launch Pearl V Puri and Aparna Dixit starrer ‘Bepanah Pyaarr’ at the 10pm slot from Monday (June 3). The channel, which has witnessed a drop in numbers since the past few weeks, is all set to rejig its programming. We had earlier informed you that the channel will axe its popular show ‘Ishq Mein Marjawan’.
The thriller starring Arjun Bijlani and Nia Sharma will bid adieu to the viewers on June 28. As per the latest buzz, the channel has pulled the plug on another popular show. We are talking about ‘Udaan’.
The show starring Toral Rasputra, Tanya Sharma and Gaurav Sareen will soon off air, if a recent report in an entertainment portal is to be believed.
‘Udaan’ will go off air on June 21, the report said.
“Udaan has had a good run. However, the generation leap has not worked in its favour. Though the new phase in story line had decent depth, the numbers did not rise,” a source told IWMBuzz.
Gaurav Sareen, who played the role of Sameer in 'Udaan', has quit the show. The actor has already shot for his last sequence. Talking about the show, 'Udaan' is one of the longest running shows on Indian television. The social drama was launched in 2014 with Spandan Chaturvedi as Chakor.
