Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s actor Dilip Joshi’s daughter Niyati recently got married in a lavish wedding ceremony and what took the internet by storm was the bride flaunting grey hair at her wedding. Niyati’s wedding pictures trended big time on internet and got social media users to discuss how she broke a major stereotype.

And now Niyati’s father and actor Dilip Joshi has opened up about the same. In an interview with the TimesofIndia.com, he says, “Keeping her grey hair as it is at her wedding was never an issue for us. We didn’t even imagine that people would react like this. It was never a point of discussion in our house. Jo jaisa hai woh waisa hi theek hai. Everyone reacted in such a positive way and I was happy to see that she has inspired others. I think this is how we should be; we present ourselves the way we are rather than putting on a mask. If this is something that has inspired people, then that’s great.”

Earlier, Dilip Joshi got emotional while penning a note of gratitude, the loving father also welcomed the ‘newest entrant to the family’ and called him his ‘son’.

“You can borrow feelings from songs and films, but when it all happens to you first-hand… that experience is unparalleled. Wishing my little girl, Niyati and the newest entrant to the family, my son, Yashowardhan, the very best and so much more on this amazing journey!
