Leo Movie Release: Vijay Starrer Gets Permission For Early Morning Shows From 7am By Madras High Court

On October 19, Vijay starrer Leo will be available in Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

New Delhi: Thalapathy Vijay starrer 'Leo' is one of the most anticipated films of the year. There was a huge rush among die-hard fans to see the movie on opening day, and there were rumours that there would be performances as early as 4 AM. According to a recent article from The Hindu, the Madras High Court has ordered the Tamil Nadu government to consider the motion made by the production company Seven Screen Studios to allow the screening of Leo beginning at 7 AM.

This news comes days after Seven Screen Studios asked for approval to show the movie at 4 AM on October 19, the day of its release. In response, the Tamil Nadu government agreed to limit the availability of five shows each day to the hours of 9 AM to 1.30 AM.

According to a recent report by The Hindu, Justice Anita Sumanath has ordered the TN Home (cinema) Department to schedule a meeting with the film's makers and members of the Tamil Nadu theatre owners groups on Tuesday at 4 PM. This choice was made in order to take into account the challenges of playing five shows between 9 AM and 1:30 AM. The judge has not passed any orders on the request of screening Leo from 4 AM on grounds of security issues.

Senior Counsel Srinath Sridevan, speaking on behalf of Seven Screen Studios, informed the judge that because the movie is 2 hours and 43 minutes long, it would be impossible to play five shows in 16 hours and 30 minutes after allowing for the required 20-minute interval and a 40-minute break between two shows to allow for cleaning the theatre. The judge has given his approval to this subject and instructed the government to resolve it by Tuesday.

After the successful 2021 blockbuster Master, Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj reunite with the film Leo. On October 19, Leo will be available in Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
