Vijay Deverakonda To Distribute Rs 1 Lakh Each To 100 Families From 'Kushi' Earnings

New Delhi: Vijay Deverakonda is basking in the success of his film Kushi, also starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The actor recently attended an event in Visakhapatnam to celebrate the success of the romantic comedy. During the event, Vijay surprised his fans by announcing that he would distribute Rs 1 lakh each to 100 families, thus sharing not just the happiness of his film’s success but also earnings. 

“I am announcing the distribution of one crore rupees to 100 families in order to share my joy with you. Each of the 100 families will receive one lakh rupees. This money is from my personal account,” he told fans in Telugu.  

Trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan shared the video of the actor's announcement on X.

Directed by Shiva Nirvana, the Telugu language film was released on 1 September 2023. It tells the tale of Viplav, an employee in BSNL who falls in love with Aradhya, a corporate professional in iLabs Centre, and a Brahmin girl. Viplav and Aradhya get married against their parents' wishes and soon face relationship problems, along with insecurities, jealousy, and other factors. 

The film has collected Rs 39.25 crore at the domestic box office till now. 

Earlier, the actor expressed his gratitude to his fans for loving the film. He had tweeted, “You all waited for 5 years, with me. Patiently waiting for me to do my thing! We did it. Today!! :) Waking up to this happiness from all around and my phone to hundreds of messages. I cannot help but tear up with emotions. I love you all. This is not the first time, Vijay has done something for his loyal fanbase. Earlier this year, he had sent 100 fans on an all-expenses-paid trip to Manali.
