Kamal Haasan To Play Lead Antagonist In Prabhas Starrer 'Project K', Megastar To Earn Rs. 100 Cr From Film: Reports

Interestingly, it has also been hinted that the K in 'Project K' stands for Kamal Haasan.

New Delhi: Kamal Haasan will be seen in Prabhas' upcoming film 'Project K'. Interestingly, Kamal Haasan will be seen playing the role of the lead-antagonist in the upcoming sci-fiction film which also stars Deepika Padukone in the lead. Karthik DP has shared the news on Twitter, and wrote, "Big news #Prabhas & #KamalHaasan are set to clash in India's mega project #ProjectK." 

 

As per reports, the megastar will join the sets of the Nag Ashwin directorial beginning of August 2023. As per the same tweet by Karthik, Kamal Haasan has dedicated his August schedule to shoot for his parts and there is a rumour that he will earn a massive amount of Rs. 100 cr for playing the lead antagonist. 

Interestingly, his tweet also hinted that the K in 'Project K' stands for Kamal Haasan.

Soon after the news broke the internet, fans could not keep calm. Calling it a dream team and a 'dream cast' fans have been referring to this announcement as  the 'Clash of the decade'." A netizen wrote, "One of the internet users wrote, "#ProjectK - Antagonist Aandavar is Back after 15 Years..Seems like It's almost certain that He's Gonna lock horns with #Prabhas in this Sci-fi Magnum Opus. Kamal Haasan might be seen as a never-seen-before avatar in this futuristic sci-fi action film.

'Project K' marks Deepika Padukone's debut in the Telugu film industry. The film is likely to star Amitabh Bachchan, Disha Patani while many other notable actors from the South film industry are likely to make special cameos. 

The Nag Ashwin directorial is set to release in two parts, and the first installment is expected to hit theatres on January 12, 2024, on the occasion of Makar Sankranti.
