'Amaran' Box Office Collection Day 5: Sivakarthikeyan And Sai Pallavi's Film To Reach 200-Crore Milestone Soon

Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi's 'Amaran' continue to perform strongly at the box office, earning Rs 10.25 crore on its fifth day.

New Delhi: Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi's biopic ‘Amaran’, which is based on the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan, is doing extremely well at the box office.  Following its Diwali release on October 31, the film has received an overwhelming response from audiences and is rapidly approaching the Rs 200-crore club.

In spite of a little decline from the previous weekend, ‘Amaran’ nonetheless managed to pass its critical Monday test on November 4 with strong profits.  Sacnilk reports that Amaran's net collection so far is an impressive Rs 93.35 crore, with earnings of Rs 10.25 crore on its fifth day.

On November 4, Amaran maintained a consistent occupancy rate throughout different time slots, contributing to a great performance throughout the day. Among the significant data for the Tamil version of the film, there was 48.59% occupancy throughout the day, with 36.66% in the morning, 45.88% in the afternoon, 55.32% in the evening, and a high of 56.51% during night presentations. Overall, Monday's occupancy rate was 41.10% for the Telugu version.

Amaran, produced and funded by Raaj Kamal International Films, is expected to earn more than Rs 125 crore in Tamil Nadu throughout its whole theatrical run. The film has a shot of breaking the Rs 150 crore mark in Kollywood, according to the trade analysts.

About 'Amaran'

The 2014 Qazipathri Operation in Shopian serves as the setting for the biographical war film, ‘Amaran’, which centres on the heroic efforts of Major Mukund Varadarajan. The film brings his narrative to the big screen by chronicling his courage and perseverance. ‘Amaran’ features an ensemble cast headed by Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi. Important parts are also played by Rahul Bose, Anbu Thasan, Shreekumar, Mir Salman, Suresh Chakravarthy, and Bhuvan Arora.
