Aadujeevitham Celebs Review: Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam Praise Prithviraj Sukumaran And Blessy

Director Blessy’s survival saga ‘Aadujeevitham’ (The Goat Life), featuring Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role, is all set to release on Thursday.

New Delhi: Director Blessy’s survival saga ‘Aadujeevitham’ (The Goat Life), featuring Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role, is all set to release on Thursday. Ahead of its much-anticipated theatrical release, a special preview of 'Aadujeevitham' was recently arranged for film industry celebrities across different languages. The film has received positive reviews from the celebs. Among those showering accolades upon ‘Aadujeevitham’ is the revered actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan, who has praised the film, especially highlighting the commendable efforts of Blessy and Prithviraj.

In a heartfelt video message, posted on the social media handle of the film, Kamal expressed his gratitude, saying, "I thank Blessy. It's hard work. It has really happened to someone. Mr Mani Ratnam wondered how he worked and where. In the interval, you feel like drinking more water. Your thirst for making a different kind of cinema is also seen." He further commended Prithviraj's performance, noting, "Prithviraj has done so much, especially the shot where he bathes. I never thought he would have gone this far. The cameraman’s (Sunil KS) work here… it’s very difficult. As filmmakers, we understand. I want the audiences also to understand. Excellent film, I want the people to support it as well.”

Adding to the chorus of praise, acclaimed filmmaker Mani Ratnam lauded the visual spectacle created by the film, acknowledging the challenges involved in its production. "The visuals are amazing and breathtaking. Prithviraj has really done an amazing work. In fact, the whole team has... I don't know how you guys did it, I don’t envy you (Blessy) as it must have been very difficult, " Ratnam remarked. 

Meanwhile, another screening of the film took place in Hyderabad, attended by several prominent figures from the Telugu film industry. Hanu Raghavapudi, the director of Sita Ramam, hailed Prithviraj's dedication. “It’s not an ordinary achievement to stay with a character for 10 years and deliver such a performance. Hats off to Prithviraj Gaaru,” Cinema Express quoted him as saying. 

Similarly, Venky Atluri, director of Vaathi, urged audiences not to miss the opportunity to experience the profound impact of ‘Aadujeevitham’, while Praveen Sattaru, the director of Guntur Talkies, lauded Prithviraj's portrayal, describing it as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for any actor. 

About Aadujeevitham/The Goat Life
The film is based on the 2008 novel ‘Aadujeevitham’ one of the most popular best-sellers in Malayalam. Written by Benyamin, the novel has been translated into 12 languages, including foreign languages.  

‘Aadujeevitham’ is a true story of a Malayali migrant worker Najeeb who was forced into servitude as a goatherd in Saudi Arabia.
