Sidharth Malhotra Touched Kiara Advani's Feet During Wedding Ceremony: Report
Bollywood couple Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani got married on February 7 in Jaisalmer. Though the couple kept their wedding private, many details from the wedding are out already.
New Delhi: Bollywood couple Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani got married on February 7 in Jaisalmer. It was an intimate ceremony, which saw a few friends from the industry such as Karan Johar, Manish Malhotra, Juhi Chawla, Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor.
Though the couple kept their wedding private, many details from the wedding are out already. According to a report in ETimes, Sidharth broke away from tradition and while exchanging wedding vows, he bent down to touch Kiara’s feet.
The gesture reportedly brought Karan Johar to tears.
Sidharth and Kiara made their first public appearance as an official couple on Wednesday at Jaisalmer airport. The two greeted the fans and paparazzi waiting outside as they made their way inside the airport.
According to reports, the couple will host two receptions, one in Delhi and the other in Mumbai. The Delhi reception will be held on February 9. They will then travel to Mumbai on the 10th and will host a reception in the city on the 12th of February for their friends in the film industry.
Kiara and Sidharth got married on February 7 at Suryagrah palace in Jaisalmer. They posted pictures from their wedding ceremony on Tuesday late evening.

For their big day, the bride and the groom wore Manish Malhotra, a close friend of Kiara and a well-known fashion designer. Manish also wished the couple by taking to his Instagram account and sharing details about their ensembles.
Kiara wore a custom ombre lehenga in hues of empress rose. The lehenga features intricate embroidery detailing of roman architecture, inspired by the special love the newlyweds share for the city of domes. Sidharth on the other hand wore a metallic gold sherwani with an exquisite royal lustre. The sherwani had ivory threadwork, gold zardozi and badla work.
While Manish Malhotra shared the details about the couple's wedding outfits, Mrinalini Chandra, who customised Kiara's kaleeras, revealed that it symbolised Sid and Kiara's love story.
Taking to her Instagram handle, Mrinalini shared a video clip giving a glimpse of Kiara's kaleeras that are an ode to her love story with Sidharth. Explaining the details, Mrinalini wrote, "Our signature lovestory kaliras for the beautiful @kiaraaliaadvani was all sorts of magical !Amidst stars, moon , couple initials & butterflies , there is a thoughtful dedication to a beloved pet, a favourite travel destination, a little love & mischief . For their wedding rings, Sidharth kept things simple and tasteful with a gold wedding band. On the other hand, Kiara went with an oval-shaped, uncut diamond ring that took center stage. She chose a simple gold chain for her mangalsutra.
