Shah Rukh Khan Says He Owns TVs Worth Rs 30-40 Lakh, Fans Feel ‘Poor’

Shah Rukh Khan, who was in New Delhi this week for the promotion of a television brand, revealed that he has at least 10 -11 television at his home Mannat worth Rs 30-40 lakh.

Shah Rukh Khan is known as King Khan for a reason. He is not only the king of Bollywood but also lives life king size. The actor, who was in New Delhi this week for the promotion of a television brand, revealed that he has at least 10 -11 television at his home Mannat worth Rs 30-40 lakh.

“I have one in the bedroom, I have one in the living room, I have another one in my little son AbRam’s room, I have one in Aryan’s room, I have one in my daughter’s room… Recently, some other redundant make of a television got spoilt in the gym, I only wait for the days when the old televisions get busted so I can quickly go an buy an LG,” SRK said in the press conference.

“The cost of each television is about a lakh, lakh-and-a-half. By that calculation, I’ve spent about Rs 30-40 lakh on televisions,” the actor added.

The video was posted on Twitter and his fans were quick to react.

“Itne ka to hamara poora ghr hoga (Our house probably costs this much),” another person tweeted.

SRK is known for his wit and he can charm his audience both on and off-screen. Recently, Shah Rukh Khan’s old video from the 2008 Berlin International Film Festival was going viral on social media.

In the video, Shah Rukh Khan was giving various reasons why he cannot be a part of Hollywood. When asked about any plans of working in Hollywood, the actor said, “My English is not good,” making the audience laugh.

He added, “If they give me a role of a dumb person who doesn’t speak, maybe. I am not trying to be modest but I am 42 years old, I am little brown, and I don’t have any special USP as an actor. I don’t know Kung fu, I don’t dance the Latin salsa, I am not tall enough. I think anyone who is my age in the Western world, I have seen recent films of Europe, films of what you call ‘the dream factory’, I think there is no space for me. There is no place for me because I don’t think I am that talented. So I would like to continue doing work in India, and hopefully take Indian cinema to the world.”
