Suvinder Vicky might be getting the limelight he rightly deserves now, but this is not the first time he has created magic on screen. Here are a few series and movies of the brilliant actor to watch.

New Delhi: Netflix’s new series ‘Kohrra’ is receiving a lot of appreciation from audiences for its layered storytelling, nuances, in-depth characters, and brilliant performances by its cast. Among all the performances, Suvinder Vicky stands tallest for his portrayal of local cop Balbir, who is carrying out a murder investigation. Vicky has exceptionally played a man burdened with his past, wrong choices he made and a dysfunctional family. Filmmakers like Karan Johar, Hansal Mehta, Deepa Mehta and others have praised his portrayal of the character. While writing about the series on Instagram, Karan Johar called Vicky 'the revelation of 2023 across film and streaming’. He also wrote, “his silences can launch a million scripts.”

Cat

The 50-year-old was seen last year in Netflix series Cat alongside Randeep Hooda. He played the character of Sehtab Singh, again a cop. The actor made a mark in the series for his subtle and impactful portrayal of a man ready to do anything for power. He also got an award for his role in the series.
 

Milestone/Meel Patthar

This Netflix movie is a must-watch to watch the brilliance of the actor that he is. Suvinder plays a newly bereaved truck driver trying to come to terms with the death of his wife. He got critical acclaim for the film and also won Best Actor, Critics' Choice Film Awards.
 

Chauthi Koot

Suvinder Vicky plays Joginder in this 2015 film about Punjab militancy. The film shows the life of a family in rural Punjab after Operation Blue Star. The family living in fear of militants visiting at night while security forces during the day, both dangerous for them. The film can be rented on YouTube.
 

Udta Punjab

The actor played Kukky in Abhishek Chaubey’s Udta Punjab starring Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh.
 

Kesari

Suvinder was also seen in Akshay Kumar’s Kesari. The film was based on the Battle of Saragarhi in which an army of 21 Sikhs fought against thousands of Afghans in 1897.  The actor played the role of Naik Singh in the film.
 

Paatal Lok

The actor was also seen in one of the episodes of the much-acclaimed series on Prime Video. He played the part of Balbir Singh Sekhon in the series.
 

Besides these, Suvinder has worked in several Punjabi films including, , Kali Jotta, Des Hoya Pardes and Zakhmi.
