Indian Matchmaking Participant Pradhyuman Maloo In Legal Trouble; Wife Ashima Chauhaan Files FIR

Despite being given a list of 150 women, Mumbai-based jewellery designer Pradhyuman failed to find a suitable match.

New Delhi: Pradhyuman Maloo has been reportedly accused of physical and emotional abuse. In 2020, he got married Ashima Chauhaan after making an appearance on the Netflix series 'Indian Matchmaking'. Despite being given a list of 150 women, Mumbai-based jewellery designer Pradhyuman failed to find a suitable match. Outside the show, he ran into Ashima, and they clicked. According to the most recent reports, Ashima accused Pradhyuman of abusing her and filed a FIR against him.

Anmol Bartaria, a lawyer for Ashima, spoke with Hindustan Times and stated, “The allegations with FIR lodged are grave and concerning with domestic violence and constant mental, physical abuse at its core. The matter is in the investigative stage and should be carried in full swing. Ashima is in the process of taking appropriate legal proceedings against the accused in accordance with law.”

Pradhyuman also made an appearance in season 2 to confirm their relationship. In the episode, it was revealed that the couple had been dating for two years and married in a lavish ceremony in February 2022 in Udaipur, Rajasthan.

However, he has now stated that he was unaware of this recent occurrence and said, “I don’t know about it. To the best of my knowledge, we are in settlement talks with lawyers to resolve our martial issues amicably.” Matchmaker Sima Taparia had previously set him up with model Rushali Rai on the show, but it didn’t lead anywhere. Commenting about the FIR, Rushali said, “He doesn’t seem like that person. I heard that they are breaking up but didn’t know about domestic violence. As far as I’ve known him, this can’t be true.”

Model and actor Ashima Bartaria has appeared on reality shows like 'Ace of Space' and 'MTV Love School'.
