Ever since her child’s birth, Nusrat has maintained a silence on the subject of her son’s father. Recently, during the opening of a jewellery store in Kolkata where the actress was the chief guest, she was asked the same question. This was Nusrat’s first public appearance after she gave birth to her first child. It was also the first time Nusrat publicly spoke about her child's father. Addressing the media, she said the "father knows who the father is", and that she doesn’t want the world to know about the same.

When asked about when one can get the first glimpse of the baby boy Yishaan, the actress had a witty answer. She said, "You have to ask his father that. Right now he is not letting anyone see him."

For the uninitiated, Nusrat has been staying with her rumoured partner Yash since her pregnancy days. Last week, the duo was at the Kolkata Municipal Corporation and several reports suggested that the pair went there to mainly get the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine but they also enquired about the baby’s certificate.

On August 26, Nusrat Jahan welcomed her baby boy at a private hospital in Kolkata, after which Nikhil Jain, her estranged husband, had said in a statement: "There may be differences between us but I am wishing the newborn and his mother all the best. I wish the baby boy has a bright future."

Recently, Nusrat shared a picture on Instagram where she had given picture credits to ‘Daddy’. She wrote: “Don’t take criticism from people u won’t take advice from… #newrole #newmommylife #newlook pic courtesy: Daddy."
