Munawar Faruqui and his girlfriend Nazila starrer song 'Halki Si Baarat' is out. The popular comedian who won the reality TV show 'Lock Upp' went live on Instagram with his girlfrend to talk about this romantic number.
'Halki Si Barsaat' has been sung by Saaj Bhatt and the mood and tone of the song will remind audiences of an Atif Aslam number. Munawar shared the song on his official Instagram handle and wrote, "The wait is over 🎉 Out Now."
The video of the song opens to Munawar performing a stand up show and Nazila being an audience member. As both step out at the end of the show, it begins to rain. Munawar offers an umbrella to Nazila as he walks her home. Romance blossoms between the two as rain and Saaj's melodious voice fills your ears.
'Halki Si Barsaat' has an innocence to it. Both Munawar and Nazila have appeared together for the first time in a music video.
The couple also shared through a live session on Wednesday how they came on board for the song. Munawar said that he received a call from the producer stating that his manager was asking for a lot of money and that her should hear the song before deciding. “I was on my bike with Nazila when the call came. We immediately heard the song, and soon got hooked. And once they decided to have Nazila on board, everything just worked out,” Munwar said.
Munawar also spoke about how he wanted to do a music video to get celebrity like feels even during his stint on the reality TV show 'Lock Upp'.
His girlfriend, Nazila shared that she was quite nervous about acting in the video since it was her first time. “I was nervous but since I had him around, everything just worked beautifully. He made me really comfortable and the scenes in the music video are so similar to our real-life activities that it didn’t feel like work.”
The rain in the song is actually real, as Munawar and Nazila also stated that while filming the song in Chandigarh, it actually started to rain.
