Zoya Akhtar Set To Enter The Genre Of Horror With Netflix's 'Ghost Stories'

'Ghost Stories' will mark the reunion of Zoya Akhat, Anurag Kashyap, Karan Johar and Dibakar Banerjee after last year's 'Lust Stories'.

Zoya Akhtar who has directed various films with a wide range of genres will now put her skill into making a horror genre short-film. After gaining success with her widely acclaimed 'Made in Heaven', the leading director of Bollywood is all set to explore more paths of filmmaking. After delivering two successful projects, 'Gully Boy' and 'Made in Heaven' with completely inverse backdrops, the filmmaker has chosen a new line of genre with Netflix's 'Ghost Stories' and the announcement is surely even more exciting! Zoya had a terrific start to the year, 2019 as both her projects- movie, 'Gully Boy' and web series, 'Made in Heaven' received an overwhelming response from the audience and the critics alike. With a journey of four feature films, two short films, and one web series, Zoya Akhtar is one of the leading filmmakers who has carved a niche for herself, establishing herself in the middle of the entertainment industry. Zoya Akhtar who has been ahead of her times with films like 'Luck By Chance', 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' and 'Dil Dhadakne Do'. Speaking further about 'Ghost Stories', Anurag Kashyap, Karan Johar and Dibakar Banerjee too will be directing short films for Netflix anthology 'Ghost Stories' apart from Zoya Akhtar. After 'Lust Stories', 'Ghost Stories' will mark the reunion of these four leading filmmakers. Coming back to Zoya Akhtar, the director will be back with 'Made In Heaven' season two and we cannot wait to witness the magic she brings with her commendable work with all her upcoming projects wherein the recent development even horror finds a feature and we sure are awaiting the project!
