'Secret Superstar' actress Zaira Wasim recently took to her social media accounts & shared that she is quitting Bollywood citing religious reasons.

Actress Zaira Wasim, who made her acting debut with Aamir Khan's much-acclaimed 'Dangal' as Geeta Phogat, received rave reviews for her performance in Nitesh Tiwari directed 2015 film. The talented actress recently shocked her fans by announcing that she is bidding goodbye to her film career as she is not happy with her current line of work, which has silently and unconsciously transitioned her "out of Imaan". Her decision is getting a mixed response from other Bollywood celebs. While some supported her decision of quitting films, others questioned it. Zaira Wasim's last film will be Shonali Bose's 'The Sky Is Pink' featuring Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar in lead roles. In the film, Zaira is playing the lead role of motivational speaker Aisha Chaudhary who was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. Now the latest reports suggests that, the 18-year-old actress has bowed out of 'The Sky Is Pink' promotions after announcing her "disassociation" from acting. Speaking about the same, a source told Mid Day that, "With the film eyeing an October 11 release, the makers were planning to kick off the promotions by August-end. It was evident from Zaira's Facebook post on Sunday that she has decided to severe her ties from films.
