World Wildlife Day 2020: 'I Am A Sea Turtle,' Says Dia Mirza
Bollywood actress Dia Mirza shared a photo of herself as a sea turtle on World Wildlife Day.
New Delhi: It's World Wildlife Day and one person who has always championed the cause of nature and wildlife protection is Dia Mirza. The United Nations Environment Programme this World Wildlife Day, is reaching out to people around the globe by celebrating how biodiversity, in its varied forms, Sustains All Life on Earth. To raise the alarm on the plight of some of the most biodiverse places on earth, coral reefs, UNEP's #WildForLife and #GlowingGone campaigns have joined forces to raise awareness for the value of this underwater ecosystem, and the magnificent creatures that inhabit them.
As goodwill ambassador for UNEP, Dia shared a photo of herself as a sea turtle. This year, is the third year in a row that Dia announces her support for this cause. Last year, as the Snow Leopard, which was the winning campaign globally helping raise funds to combat illegal trade and protect Snow Leopards and their habitats.

Climate change and destructive human activities like overfishing and pollution are threatening life beneath water and campaigns like this hope to focus on how coral reefs and the species that inhabit them, help to sustain all life on earth.
(Source- Instagram)20 global campaign champions with a combined reach of 41 million have joined the campaign. The color palette for the morphs is inspired by coral flourescing - the fluorescing colours of corals trying to protect themselves from ocean heatwaves - the ocean's ultimate warning sign.
