PIC: Ayushmann's wife Tahira Kashyap shows her surgery marks on 'World Cancer Day'!

Ayushmann's wife Tahira Kashyap, who has inspired many in her fight with cancer, has again proved that she is a fighter.

Ayushmann Khurrana's wife Tahira Kashyap was detected with pre-invasive cancer-DCIS (ductal carcinoma in situ) in her right breast with high grade malignant cells last year. Ever since then, Tahira has been an inspirational figure to many for fighting with the disease bravely. Last month, Tahira announced that she has completed her final chemotherapy session by posting a series of goofy boomerang videos on Instagram. Today (4th February), on the occasion of World Cancer Day, Tahira has a bare back photo on her social media in which she is showing off her surgery marks along with a powerful message in the caption. That we remove any stigma or taboo associated with it. That we spread awareness about it and that we have self love no matter what. I truly embrace all my scars as they are my badges of honour. There is nothing known as perfect. Happiness lies in truly accepting yourself. This was a tough one for me. But this picture was my decision as I want to celebrate not the disease but the spirit with which I endured. To quote my mentor, Diasaku Ikeda, “Leading an undefeated life is eternal victory. Not being defeated, never giving up, is actually a greater victory than winning, not being defeated means having the courage to rise to the challenge. Hmm...Tahir has indeed set an example for all the cancer patients in the world. Extending his support to wife Tahira, Ayushmann too shared the same picture along with a short poem on Twitter. He wrote, "Paa le tu aisi Fateh. Samandar teri pyaas se darey. These lines are for you @tahira_k. Your scars are beautiful. You are a trailblazer. For the uninitiated, Tahira recently made her debut on the ramp as she walked for a sportswear brand during the 'Lakme Fashion Week 2019'. She posted a picture along with few videos on Instagram which went viral all over the Internet. Ayushmann & Tahira tied the knot in 2011 and have a 6-year-old son Virajveer Khurrana and 4-year-old daughter Varushka Khurrana. Speaking about Ayushmann Khurrana, he is in the best phase of his career with back-to-back success of his last four films 'Bareilly Barfi', 'Shubh Mangal Savdhan', 'AndhaDhun' & 'Badhaai Ho'. Whereas, he has films like 'Dream Girl' and 'Bala' in his kitty. Whereas, Tahira will soon make her Bollywood debut as a director.
