When Raj Kundra Talked About 'Hating Poverty': 'My Father Was Bus Conductor, Mom Worked At Factory'
Raj Kundra, in an old interview, spoke about 'hating poverty' and his reaction when Shilpa Shetty asked him to keep a check on his spending.
Mumbai: Shilpa Shetty's husband Raj Kundra, who is hogging all the limelight, once spoke about his humble background. In this article, we will talk about his old interview in which he opened up about his family and why he 'hated poverty'. The businessman, while giving an interview to Filmfare in 2013, revealed that his father worked as a bus conductor while his mother was employed in a factory. He told the leading magazine that his father was a bus conductor.
Raj Kundra, who was arrested for allegedly making and circulating adult films through mobile app, had said that he was a 'self-made man' and 'never had it easy'. According to the investigating agencies, sufficient evidence has also been found against Raj.
The 45-year-old businessman said that whenever Shilpa talked about him spending 'carelessly', he would tell her that he had no issues about using his money.
"We never had it easy. I’m a self-made man since I left college at the age of 18. Whenever Shilpa checks me for spending carelessly, I tell her I have no qualms about enjoying the money I have made. My anger pushed me. I hated poverty so much that I wanted to become rich,” Raj told Filmfare.
While the Mumbai Police has denied any 'active role' of Shilpa in the alleged adult films racket case, sources suggest that she might be called to record her statement.
On the professional front, Shilpa Shetty will make her return to cinema with 'Hungama 2'. The movie co-starring Paresh Rawal and Meezan Jaaferi will premiere directly on a leading OTT platform. The comedy drama will be available for streaming from July 23 on Disney+Hotstar.
