Akshay Kumar Answers A Reporter's Mobile Phone In The Middle Of The 'Mission Mangal' Press Conference, Leaving Everyone In Splits!
Akshay Kumar's co-stars Kirti Kulhari, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha and Nithya Menon laughed hard when the actor picked up a journalist's mobile phone that was kept at the table started ringing in the middle of their press conference. Fans are reminded of Anushka Sharma-Diljit Dosanjh's 'Phillauri' press conference.
Akshay Kumar has been promoting his upcoming film 'Mission Mangal' along with his leading ladies Sonakshi Sinha, Kirti Kulhari, Taapsee Pannu, Vidya Balan and Nithya Menon. The actor who leaves audiences stunned with his action as well as comedy films is known for his great sense of humor and recently he did the unimaginable leaving everyone around in splits. It was the press conference with Akshay Kumar and his 'Mission Mangal' ladies sans Vidya Balan when a mobile phone kept alongside the laid out news microphones on the table before the stars, started to ring in the middle. Kirti was at the time talking addressing the media when the cellphone that wasn't on silent mode, goes off and Akshay did not miss the opportunity. He leapt forward reaching out for the ringing phone and picking it up he also answers it, favoring the reporter. Akshay goes - "Hello Krishna! Krishna ji, hum log ek press conference mei hain! Mai..mai Akshay Kumar bol raha hoon! Thodi der mei karna! Ok ji[disconnects the phone and places it back at it's original position]". This cracks up everyone and you hear the giggle and laughs while Akshay converses with the 'unknown' person on the other end of the call. Kirti then continues to speak where she was interrupted by the phone.
The mobile was kept at the table to record the interview which is a regular practice but the concerned reported forgot to switch it to 'silent'.

The video is leaving fans go rofl with many reminded of Anushka Sharma who did the same during 'Phillauri' promotions. Anushka with her 'Phillauri' co-star Diljit Dosanjh was holding a press conference when exactly in the same way a mobile phone kept at the table began to vibrate while the actress was speaking about her rap song in the film. Anushka looks at the phone and pointing at it she says loudly "mumma ka phone aa raha hai!". She then goes ahead and picking it up she shows the screen to the reporter it belonged to, who says "band ka do!". But Anushka decided to take the call and answering it she goes - "Hi Aunty! aunty wo interview mei hai abhi...toh aapko baad mei phone karti hai. Mai Anushka bol rahi hoon. Haan aunty..[looks at the reporter and asks "aapka naam kya hai?"] haan aunty Kritika baad mei phone karegi, abhi wo interview mei hai. Mera le rahi hai aunty.. Anushka ka.. Anushka Sharma ka. Theek hai aunty. Ok Aunty!" Anushka then disconnects the call and places it back, saying, "aunty ne kaha beta wapas kar dena phone!". Diljit looked totally surprised while Anushka took the call while everyone else was giggling throughout. Now with Akshay doing the same, some say he copied Anushka Sharma.
