Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video Trailer: Rajkummar Rao-Triptii Dimri Promise Laugh Riot, Mallika Sherawat Makes Perfect Comeback
‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ Trailer Out: The story follows newlyweds Vicky (Rajkummar Rao) and Vidya (Triptii Dimri) during the 1990s.
New Delhi: With Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri in the lead roles, the new trailer for ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ seems like a perfect comedy to watch with the whole family. The story follows newlyweds Vicky (Rajkummar Rao) and Vidya (Triptii Dimri) during the 1990s. The film, which is helmed by ‘Dream Girl’ director Raaj Shandilyaa, will be released in cinemas on October 11.
The trailer begins with a humorous idea of Vicky suggesting to Vidya they film a video of their first night (honeymoon) together as a memento for when they're older. But when the CD is stolen and a series of chaos begins. With ‘Na Na Na Re’ by Daler Mehndi rattling around in the background, the laughter keeps rolling as the hunt for the CD starts. Vicky and Vidya's unexpected journey ends when they receive a ransom demand for their stolen CD.
Vijay Raaz and Mallika Sherawat, who play supporting roles, give comic relief to the storyline. Vijay Raaz's character is hilariously head over heels for Mallika Sherawat, making viewers think of Majnu and Uday from ‘Welcome’. The makers added a subtle reference to Mallika's legendary performance in ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’. The ensemble cast is rounded off by Tiku Talsania, another veteran performer renowned for his comedic timing.

‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ Promo
A day before, a one-of-a-kind promo of ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ was released by the makers. Rajkummar and Triptii are seen in the teaser sitting in a TV journalist's chair. As newsreaders, they mocked old Doordarshan broadcasts and referred to the film as a "mahaparivarik" (family) drama. This was one of the unusual promotional tools used to build anticipation for the film.
‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’, produced by T-Series, Balaji Telefilms, and Wakaoo Films and starring Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Ektaa R. Kapoor, and others, is set to be an enjoyable comedy.
