Vicky Kaushal also shared his first look picture as Sam Manekshaw on social media and the fans are amazed with his transformation in the first field marshal of India. Vicky wrote in caption - "The swashbuckling general & the first Field Marshal of India- SAM MANEKSHAW. I feel honoured & proud of getting a chance to unfold his journey on-screen. The script is written by Bhavani Iyer and Shantanu Shrivastava along with Meghna. "Sam Manekshaw's name will be etched in history as one of the greatest soldiers and minds India has ever seen. Young India desperately needs role models to look up to, needs to be educated on the contribution made by this icon to India --- as we know it today," Screwvala said in a statement. Vicky Kaushal's father and action director Sham Kaushla also praised his son's first look from the film tweeting - "Post 1971 war victory & his other heroic fearless deeds Field Marshal Manek Shaw was my hero in Punjab during college days.I had never imagined that one day my son will play his role in a film.
