This Company Will Pay $1300 To Watch 13 Scary Movies In 10 Days — Check Films On The List
FinanceBuzz is searching for a horror movie fan brave enough to watch 13 scary movies, whom they will pay a hefty amount as a reward for the assignment.
New Delhi: FinanceBuzz, a finance company, is offering to pay $1300 to watch 13 terrifying movies, in order to find out whether the budget of a horror movie determines the extent of scares it delivers.
FinanceBuzz will send the 'hired Horror Movie Heart Rate Analyst' a Fitbit Tracker, to record their heart rate while watching a combination of high-budget and low-budget horror movies, according to a statement issued by the company.
Why is the company looking for such a person?
Movies of the horror genre are the most profitable, irrespective of the budget. For instance, Paranormal Activity (2007), despite being a low-budget movie, garnered more than $193 million at the box office.
In order to know whether high-budget horror movies are more terrifying and fear-inducing than low-budget ones, the company has come up with this assignment, according to the statement.
"In honour of the upcoming spooky season, we at FinanceBuzz are dying to know whether or not high-budget horror movies deliver stronger scares than low-budget ones. You'll help us discover whether or not a movie's budget impacts just how dread-inducing it can be by wearing a Fitbit to monitor your heart rate while you work your way through the list of 13 movies," FinanceBuzz said in the statement.
What is the assignment?
Between October 9 and October 18, the selected candidate is required to watch the following horror movies:
