Tiger 3 Box Office Collection Day 3: Film Crosses Rs 200 Crore Mark Globally, Salman Khan Says, 'I'm Delighted'

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer ‘Tiger 3’ has passed the third-day test with flying colours. The film, which is a part of YRF Spy Universe, collected Rs 42 crore on Tuesday.

New Delhi: Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer ‘Tiger 3’ has passed the third-day test with flying colours. The film, which is a part of YRF Spy Universe, collected Rs 43.5 crore on Tuesday. The film, which had crossed Rs 100 crore on its second day, now stands at Rs 148.50 crore at the domestic box office. This is Salman’s 17th movie to cross the Rs 100 crore nett mark.

The film had an unconventional release on Diwali (Monday) - a day which is traditionally considered as a dull day for the box office but the film surpassed the expectations and became the highest Bollywood grosser on Diwali with Rs 44 crore. It has also become Salman Khan's highest opener till date.

The film has so far collected Rs 180.50 crore (gross) in India and Rs 59.50 (gross) worldwide, bringing the total box office collection of the film to Rs 240 crore gross.

The film continued its growth on the second day of its release and minted Rs 58 crore, crossing 100 crore at the domestic box office. With the third day earnings, the film has made more than Rs 240 crore worldwide. 

Salman Khan's response to Tiger 3's success
Salman Khan responded to the film's response and said in a statement, “I’m delighted with the response from (the) audience and fans for Tiger 3! They have given the film a brilliant start and I’m happy that the third part of this franchise is also scripting a success story. Tiger is a franchise that is close to my heart. So, to see it get more and more love film after film is really special. I hope the film continues to entertain audiences worldwide.”

Meanwhile, on Children's Day, Salman hosted a special screening of Tiger 3 for everyone in Juhu. A video of Salman Khan enjoying with kids during a screening of Tiger 3 has gone viral. The video shows Salman charming the young admirers with his smile, handshakes, and friendly banter.

Directed by Maneesh Sharma, Tiger 3 is the third film in the spy franchise that started with 'Ek Tha Tiger' in 2012 and was followed by 'Tiger Zinda Hai' in 2017. The film also stars Emraan Hashmi as an antagonist.

'Tiger 3' is also a part of Yash Raj Films' spy universe which also includes, Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan' and the Hrithik Roshan starrer 'War'. Both the actors have made a cameo in the film.
