NCB Issues Summons To Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet In Connection With Drugs Angle In Sushant's Death Case

In a major development in the ongoing drugs probe in Bollywood, the NCB has issued summons to Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shradhha Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh.

New Delhi: The Narcotics Control Bureau has issued summons to Bollywood actresses Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh in connection with the drugs angle in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. The actresses have been asked to appear before the NCB in the next three days. The 'Padmaavat' actress is currently busy shooting for her upcoming film with Shakun Batra in Goa. The movie also stars Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi in lead roles. Sushant's 'Chhichhore' co-star Shraddha Kapoor has been asked to appear before the NCB on September 26. Sara Ali Khan, who made her Bollywood debut with 'Kedarnath', has also been summoned for interrogation on Saturday (September 26). The drugs law enforcement agency has asked Rakul Preet Singh, Simone Khambatta and Shruti Modi to come to the NCB head office on Thursday (September 24). Deepika's name came to the fore after her WhatsApp chats with her manager Karishma Prakash surfaced during the NCB investigation. In the chats, the 'Chhapaak' actress allegedly asked Karishma to bring 'hash' to a party which she was attending. The NCB summoned Karisma Prakash and KWAN talent management's CEO Dhruv Chitgopekar for questioning in connection with the probe. Prakash sought an exemption from the NCB probe citing her ill health and didn't arrive for the interrogation on Tuesday (September 22). The federal agency grilled Sushant's talent manager Jaya Saha for the third consecutive day. The officials also interrogated filmmaker Madhu Mantena Verma and TV couple Sanam Johar and Abigail Pande as part of the investigation.
