Sushant Singh Rajput Death: Bombay HC Adjourns Bail Pleas Of Samuel Miranda & 2 Others To Sept 29 In Drugs Case

The Bombay High Court has adjourned the hearing on bail pleas of Samuel Miranda,Dipesh Sawant and Abdul Basit Parihar, who have been arrested by the NCB in a drugs case related to Sushant Singh Rajput's death.

New Delhi:  The Bombay High Court on Friday (September 18) adjourned the hearing on bail pleas of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s house help Dipesh Sawant, his house manager Samuel Miranda and alleged drug peddler Abdul Basit Parihar, who have been arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau in connection with a drug case related to the ‘Dil Bechara’ actor’s death, till September 29. The three, who were arrested earlier this month, had moved the high court for bail. Rhea, who is the prime accused in Sushant’s death case, has not moved the HC for bail. The drugs law enforcement agency had opposed their bail pleas before the special court. Meanwhile, the NCB has arrested six more drug peddlers as part of their investigation into the narcotics angle in Sushant’s death case. The agency officials carried out raids in Powai and Andheri on Friday and recovered drugs like charas and ganja. They seized over 1.4 kg of contraband during the raid. Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his apartment in Mumbai on June 14. His case took a new turn when the ‘Raabta’ actor’s father KK Singh lodged an FIR against Rhea, her family members and others under various sections of the IPC in Patna. Drugs Imported For Sushant Used To Get Delivered At THIS Address The ‘Jalebi’ actress filed a petition in the Supreme Court to transfer the FIR from Patna to Mumbai. The apex court rejected Rhea’s plea and ordered a CBI probe into the matter. The Central Bureau of Investigation started its probe last month in the high profile case last month. Two more central agencies- the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and NCB are investigating the money laundering and drugs angle respectively in the ‘Pavitra Rishta’ actor’s death case. The NCB is also probing the link between tinsel town celebs and drug traffickers to unravel the alleged Bollywood nexus with the drugs mafia. Watch this space for more updates!
