New Delhi: The Supreme Court’s hearing for Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty’s plea to transfer late Sushant Singh Rajput’s death probe from Bihar to Mumbai is currently underway. Rhea filed a fresh petition on Monday (August 10) and complained that the media was holding an unfair trial and pronouncing her guilty in the case. The ‘Jalebi’ actress also said that the matter was blown out of proportion in the media as news channels are ‘cross-examining all the witnesses’ in the case. Sushant’s family counsel Vikas Singh told the apex court that a complaint was given in February but the Mumbai Police didn’t register the FIR citing technicalities. He further said that Sushant’s family members are suspecting foul play as they never saw his body hanging. Senior advocate Vikas Singh contended before Justice Hrishikesh Roy that the 'Raabta' actor's family didn't see his body hanging and has no faith in Mumbai Police's investigation. Singh argued before the apex court that the mark seen on Sushant's neck could be of a belt. Meanwhile, Sushant’s sister Mitu Singh has arrived at the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office to record her statement in connection with a money laundering probe in the late actor’s case. Mitu, who stays in Mumbai, was the only family member, who arrived at SSR’s apartment on the day of his demise. She is Sushant’s first kin, who has joined the ED probe. The ED officials questioned Sushant and Rhea's former manager Shruti Modi for the third time on Tuesday (August 11). She was reportedly grilled for over five hours and asked to submit bank statements and documents pertaining to two companies- Vividrage Rhealityx in which Rhea Chakraborty is a director, and Front India For World in which Showik Chakraborty is a director.
