Sushant Singh Death Case: Actress Rhea Chakraborty and SSR's Sisters are locked in a blame game, accusing each other of indulging in a conspiracy against the 'Dil Bechara actor'.
Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death probe and several other connected cases are continuing to get complex each passing day with blame games not coming to an end any soon. At the time when CBI, ED and NCB are investigating the drug connection in actor's death, actress Rhea Chakraborty and SSR's Sisters are locked in a blame game, accusing each other of indulging in a conspiracy against the 'Dil Bechara actor'. Rhea Chakraborty on September 7, 2020 lodged an FIR against two of the four sisters of 'Dil Bechara' actor. Rhea in her complaint had alleged that Priyanka Singh and Tarun Kumar (Doctor at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in Delhi) prescribed banned medicine, Clonazepam, to Rajput. She stated that the medicines prohibited under the NDPC Act 1985 were prescribed to Sushant which might have resulted in chronic anxiety and death of 'Chhichhore' actor.
On this, SSR's sisters Priyanka Singh and Meetu Singh filed a plea before the Bombay High Court seeking to quash the FIR registered against them. Though the Bombay HC had earlier adjourned the case for further hearing, 'Jalebi' actress Rhea Chakraborty requested the court to dismiss Sushant Singh Rajput's sisters Priyanka and Meetu Singh's petition to quash the FIR registered against them by Bandra Police for allegedly 'forging and procuring fake medical prescription' for the late actor.
Now, as per the latest development in the case, CBI has opposed Rhea's FIR against the two sisters of Sushant Singh. An NDTV report mentioned that the CBI has termed Rhea's FIR 'vitiated and bad in law'.

While opposing the FIR in the Bombay High Court, the investigating agency reportedly said that FIR lodged by the Mumbai Police against Sushant’s sisters is ‘bad in law’, that there was no need for second FIR in this case as CBI is already probing Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. The agency also alleged that the Mumbai police or Rhea should have shared the information they had regarding the drugs case with the CBI instead of registering the second FIR.
The CBI as per the report also claimed that there has to be clear, direct evidence of instigating or aiding someone to commit suicide. In its absence, there can not be a case of abetment to suicide.
