Sooraj Pancholi, Disha Salian Parents File Complaints Against Puneet Vashisht For 'Defamatory' Facebook Post

Versova Police Station Senior Sub-Inspector Raghavendra Rathore told ABP News that he had received a complaint letter given by Sooraj Pancholi demanding strict action against those who are creating rumours. The matter has been pushed forward for investigation.

Mumbai: Two separate police complaints have been filed with the Mumbai Police by Bollywood actor Sooraj Pancholi and parents of Disha Salian against small-time actor Puneet Vashisht for allegedly writing defamatory Facebook post in connection with the suicide case of Sushant Singh Rajput and Salian. ALSO READ | Sushant Singh Rajput Case: After Ankita Lokhande, Kriti Sanon Demands For CBI Probe, Says 'His Loved Ones Deserve This Closure' According to the sources, Sooraj Pancholi has lodged his complaint at Mumbai's Versova police station for dragging his name unnecessarily into Sushant Singh Rajput's death case. Meanwhile, Disha Salian's mother lodged separate complaint against Puneet Vashisth at Malvani police station for defaming her daughter. Sources aware of the development said that Pancholi while making the complaint presented a June 30 Facebook post of Vashisht before the police officials as a proof. The social media post had content which mentioned defamatory things about Pancholi, Salian, and the two suicides that took place in June. Punit, in the post, also said that there was an affair between Sooraj Pancholi and Disha Salian and before dying, Disha was pregnant with Sooraj Pancholi's child. Sources informed that the accused Puneet later edited the post and added “forwarded” before it on July 2 to indicate that it was sent by someone else. Giving insights of the case, Versova Police Station Senior Sub-Inspector Raghavendra Rathore told ABP News that he had received a complaint letter given by Sooraj Pancholi demanding strict action against those who are creating rumours. The matter has been pushed forward for investigation, the official added. ALSO READ | Sushant Singh Rajput Death: Transfer Of Case To CBI Illegal, Alleges Sanjay Raut Meanwhile, Sushant Singh Rajput's ex-manager Disha Salian's mother Vasanthi Salian also lodged a complaint with the Malvani police demanding strict action against Puneet for making defamatory comments against the deceased Disha. Her mother said that due to the social media post by Puneet, her family is no facing a lot more trouble apart from mourning their daughter's sudden demise. Responding to the controversy,  Puneet in a conversation with ABP News confessed that he had no proof to write such a Facebook post however, refused to apologise to Sooraj Pancholi and Disha's mother. The 'Bigg Boss 9' contestant told ABP News that he did not know the 'original source' of this Facebook post.
