Sonu Sood, Neeti Goyal Sponsor Flight To Send 180 Migrant Workers To Dehradun
Bollywood actor Sonu Sood funded another chartered flight to help 180 migrant workers reach Dehradun.
Mumbai: Two days after helping 28,000 people across the coastal lines of Mumbai to stay safe from the cyclone Nisagra, bollywood actor Sonu Sood and his friend Neeti Goyal sponsored a flight to help more than 180 migrant workers reach their hometown in Uttarakhand’s Dehradun on Friday.
The 'Dabangg' actor and his team have been arranging for buses and trains to help migrants reach home safely amid the pandemic-induced lockdown. The duo reached the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai to see off the migrants, who left for home in a chartered AirAsia flight at 1.40 pm.
Pregnant women and mothers along with their children were given priority for the travel.

Goyal said, “Our focus was on sending women, who cannot travel long distances in trains or busses, early. Hence, we decided to fund their air travel. Some women travelled with their husbands.”
“Meanwhile, relatives of these women, who were left behind, have begun their journey to Dehradun in buses,” she added.

The duo, had on May 29, airlifted 177 girls, who were stranded in Kerala’s Ernakulam, to help them reach their hometown in Odisha’s Bhubaneswar.
